Activities

••  Risk management advice on how to identify high-risk shipments

••  Independent verification of the declared transaction value through a worldwide      price research carried out in accordance with Article VII of GATT 1994

••  Training of Customs officials in risk management, Article VII valuation, price      research, goods inspection and tariff classification

••  Help Ghana Customs enhance its price database

••  Provide other know-how and clarifications on WTO and WCO related issues

••  Prepare a monthly report to inform the GOG of the findings. In the case of      discrepancies, ICS assesses the losses to the government and computes any      penalties.
