Activities

As part of the CBR’s ambitious modernization program, PWC won a World Bank sponsored contract to supply, configure and implement MicroClear, a web-based solution that benefits public and private sector stakeholders as well as the Government of Pakistan’s international trading partners.

ICS Group has successfully implemented the Pakistan Customs Computerized system based on MicroClear Technology for Central Board of Revenue (CBR) Pakistan. The system is currently live in three ports viz., KICTL, PICT and QICT. The implementation of MicroClear provided tremendous benefits to the Pakistan customs in terms of efficiencies and Customer service i.e. significant reduction in dwell time and clearance time.

ICS Group implemented End-to-End Customs system, PaCCS built on MicroClear®, as specified by Pakistan Customs in requirement specification documents. The system implemented for Pakistan customs included the following functionality:

In addition to the Customs functionality the system was integrated to the Port Systems, Banks, Shipping Lines, and Cargo Agents.
