Inspection and Control Services (ICS) and Danisat Ltd. Announce a Customs Modernization and Fleet Tracking and Security Management Partnership

Inspection & Control Services (ICS), a Washington-DC based company specializing in providing leading-edge customs modernization and related decision support applications, and Danisat, a Gibraltar based company, one of the world’s leading service providers of fleet management, container tracking, authentication, and sealing solutions have formed a partnership to provide turnkey solutions to customs modernization and related decision support services in tracking, controlling, and securing the movement of cargo containers across international borders from theft, hijacking, tracking, or misuse - wherever an importers cargo might be. The partnership will result in the seamless integration of ICS’s Microclear, customs modernization application, with Danisat’s FTSMS, fleet tracking and security management system, in addition to co-branding and co-marketing their respective solutions.
Through the partnership, Danisat will provide the technology, technical support and services as a part in parcel feature of the Microclear turnkey solution on a worldwide basis. The partnership will enable customs authorities and importers to track containers through the internet, provide connectivity to containers through numerous input and output devices, monitor security and assess, in real time, the quality of fleets of goods in transit. Moreover, Danisat’s global fleet tracking and security management solution (FTSMS) will eliminate the need for convoys to assist goods in transit, reduce losses in revenue, and improve the overall control over illegal substances. And lastly, customs authorities will have the ability to authenticate the release of containers from bonded customs locations, ensuring proper duties (tariffs) have been assessed and procedures have been followed.
The Microclear solution was previously recognized by Microsoft Corporation as one of five worldwide finalists the e-Commerce Solution of the year at the Microsoft 2002 Fusion Event. Nearly 800 entries were considered for this award in twelve different categories. The award was in recognition of the ICS’ leadership in the Customs Modernization and related Decision Support and E-Government Solutions that are essential to efficient trade, revenue collection, and good governance.
The partnership is a clear demonstration of ICS and Danisat’s dedication to providing an end to end customs solution which targets the security and quality control of containers and goods in transit while providing seamless customs modernization and trade facilitation benefits.
