The leading supply chain solution provider has been nominated in the category of “IT Project Of The Year” for it’s outstanding & revolutionary customs application; MicroClear which is a web based customs modernization tool that links port & customs authorities to air, land & sea clearing & handling agents and banking systems for efficient exchange of information & payments required for faster clearance of consignments.
PWC was among the 6 nominees chosen from 75 applicants after a rigorous screening process. This award will recognise a groundbreaking IT initiative that is transforming the way users are working within the Middle East region.
The annual awards have been devised by MEED (the Middle East Economic Digest), which has been at the forefront of reporting business and economic news in the Middle East for more than 40 years. Today it is widely recognized as the premier, independent source of economic intelligence amongst 60,000 government officials and senior business personnel in the Middle East region and around the world.
The MEED Awards are distinguished from other similar events by the broad and inclusive categories, rigorous entry criteria, and a prestigious, international panel of independent judges. The event will culminate in a spectacular evening ceremony and gala dinner on the 20th March 2002 at the Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai, UAE.
