Qurain Co-op has signed a contract with the Public Warehousing Company for their Total Warehousing, distribution and logistics. The contract was signed at PWC premises in Sulaibiya by Mr. Musaab Sulaiman Al Saleh the Chairman of Qurain Co-op and Mr. Tarek Abdel Aziz Al Sultan, Chairman of PWC
This proves to be a great success, which will provide enormous benefits to: Qurain Co-op

- Reduced distribution cost, through electronic stock transfer from Supplier to Co-op. eliminating delivery vehicle queuing and damages due to double handling

- Increase shareholder value from the conversion of underutilized warehouse into revenue center

- Fresher produce, no stock out's or shortages due to poor inventory management plus a host of value added services made available from the old warehouse conversion
This aggressive approach toward re-organizing the supply chain will drastically reduce supplier’s distribution costs through electronic transfer of stock. And will ultimately provide a more profitable, manageable and cleaner operation for Co-ops, and Suppliers, through elimination of double handling, damages and shrinkage, plus a real time stock inventory capability via the Internet.
Qurain Co-op have the opportunity to revolutionize the Co-op image, take the lead and convert their existing underutilized warehousing facilities into a revenue generator and ultimately provide added value to their customers, and shareholders.
The message is now extremely clear to both suppliers and retailers, the supply chain is being re-organized to maximize profits, reduce waste and damages by increasing efficiencies. The retail sector in the future, will only deal with preferred suppliers, i.e. those who can deliver, on time, on line in the best condition, ensuring their stock is clearly visible to the retail management, via the Internet.
